My fascination with Korean food may pale in comparison to my obsession with everything Japanese. Nonetheless, I alway enjoy every Korean experience, however far and in between they may be. So when the opportunity came to get out of our computer desks--with my Pepper Lunch groupies, who was I to say no?!?!
Aside from the Kimchi and appetizer staples, we also had our faves--Dolsot Bibimbap, Chapchae, Beef Stew and darn, I forgot the name of that thingamajigs you wrap in lettuce leaves! Hehehe. For dessert we stopped over at the neighboring minimart (a sister company actually) for the best ice drop I have ever tasted--in honeydew flavor at that!!!
So without further ado, here are my long overdue pictures from my recent Korean lunch...

oooooh i love korean! when we were still living in PI, we used to eat at korea(n?) garden a lot, right across from citadel inn.. and then that white resto on a corner not too far away -- don yan or is it dong wong or dong yang (LOL!). appetizers are massive at the dong wong/yang/yan place (they just never stop) but for some odd reason, korean garden tastes better. other korean places i've tried, servings are always so tiny (ESP KAYA in rockwell, damn).
now i'm hungry for korean!
Hello! I recommend "Ara" Korean Restaurant in Malugay St., Makati. I also love Korean food and so far that is the best from all the ones I've tried. A bit pricey, but oh sooo worth every penny! Go for their dolsot bibimbap and their Calbi.
Along Buendia, turn right on Malugay street if you're coming from the makati ave, buendia intersection. Just by the curve you'll see a large Korean restaurant on your right. That's Ara. :)
Nice blog by the way. :)
I looove Korean food! I recently discovered this sort of hole in the wall resto at fort boni. Gawwd, food is delish! Just forgot its name. Haha (i'm really baaaad at remembering names)
@Kelly
Keep me posted once you get hold of the name. Would love to try it out too!
