While probably half of the metropolis is in the thick of shopping sprees, the people at our company are biding their time. Why? Mainly because our bonuses, if at all, have not been released yet.
But once the bucks pour in, I promised myself that I will get those wooden furniture I reserved at the Leoque Collection. I've already earmarked key pieces, including lamps and other accents for our living and dining areas.
I still haven't made up my mind on what to get for the dining room though. I am undecided whether to get a a nice drop lamp that would go well with the dining table, or maybe settle for this interesting Minka Aire.
Care to help me out?

A DIFFERENT KIND OF REWARDS SYSTEM
If you are still on the lookout for a nice gift for your inaanaks, let me suggest this Reward Board that I scored at a bazaar. The Reward Board comes with a printed set of goals, rewards velcro, and precut stars which you attach to a foam board every time your little one does good. The system is very flexibile, allowing you to switch goals and rewards for the week.
This nifty discipline tool has saved me the time and effort of nagging my son not to do stuff. Instead, it has transformed my energy into positivism, making me instead, focus on my son's sense of resposibility and pride. All these, for sure, translate to a lot of savings as far as wrinkle treatment is concerned. Hehehe!
Only P200.00 at the Karl Edwards Bazaar.

ALL ABOUT MOMS
I should really be sleeping in a bit. You see, my sib and I have made a date tomorrow to visit this...
At the rate I'm going, I just might find myself snoozing at those outdoor cushions of Rockwell Tent. And that's gonna be real bad since I am hoping to score some early Yuletide finds at what has been dubbed as the ultimate shopping event for Moms like moi.
With over 50 vendors showcasing the latest finds for moms and babies, fashion and home products, what more can a mom ask for. So excuse me folks, I just might have to hit the snooze button soon.

SIX WINKS LEFT
Till I get my hands on this purple piece...Thanks to good friend R of Therapy Bags, my dream of owning countless colors of Longchamp Bags is slowly but surely becoming a reality. With the financial crunch making its presence felt on every Filipino family, splurging on expensive bags, at the moment, seems totally inappropriate.
I've been a fan and collector of Longchamp Bags for years and my love affair with these lovable arm candies has been strengthened and deepened over time. After all, where else can you find a designer bag that combines sense and style without burning a hole in your pocket? It can swing from being a carry-all bag that can hold the heaviest of netbooks, to a nice tote that you you can carry with you to any affair.
Double yay that I'd be a proud owner of an LE all because of Therapy Bags! I.can't wait. Up next, Kiwi Green or Rouge in time for Christmas! :)

TURNING CANTONESE
One of the many things that made our move down south worth the while was the great Cantonese resto located just a stone's throw away from our village.
If you find yourselves in the vicinity of a Puregold outlet, chances are, you'd also bump into a great Asian restaurant called Luk Foo. Luk Foo Restaurant offers over 200 dishes cooked Cantonese way, which, they say, have been painstakingly coined by master chefs from Hong Kong.
My mom has been a suki for years (because she's been a Puregold suki too), to the point that the waiters and cashiers have taken her favorite dishes to heart. Do note too that she is on first name basis with all the waiters and cashiers. Well what can I say free people, biba si grandmaver! Hehehe.
We've become Luk Foo converts too, eating there at whim. And I don't think we'll ever get tired of the place especially since we get great food at good prices. Case in point:

LAVA LOVE
I am in love-a with this lava cake from new kid on the (GB5) block--Lorenzo's Way.
Dubbed as the Banana-Chocolate Volcano, this concoction consists of a chocolate bundt smothered with chocolate ganache, oozing with coffee cream sauce, topped with roasted bananas. It is divine!
Lorenzo's Way is part of that famed chain of LJC restaurants which marries the tried and tested elements of great ambience, good food and reasonably priced meals. Everything is laid back, cozy, even homey. No need for those fancy gowns and tuxedos when dining in an LJC outlet.
More on my Lorenzo's Way experience soon!
