Oh alright. So I take it all back. I decided to reconnect with Melissa and am now waiting for shipment of these...
At P800.00 off the regular price, it ain't bad at all. Plus I get close to P130.00 worth of credits deposited into my Melissa "health savings account", which I could use on my next purchase. I sure hope love is lovelier the second time around.

MOCHA ON MY MIND
Have you tasted these?
My LA-based aunt included this in her annual shipment of goodies and we were a tad sad that we just had to split a single pack among three families. Hehehe!
This new variant of M&M Premiums is indeed impressive with its shimmering copper finish. And boy, oh boy are they exceptionally good--with the hint of coffee flavor a perfect complement to the creaminess of the signature M&M milk chocolate. Smooth, rich and delightful, it is a minute version of my favorite Starbucks blend :) No worries, though. despite my newfound addiction to these, I have still kept my promise to go easy on the sweets. Yes, I have no plans for my family to liquidate those life insurance quotes anytime soon! :)
Try it!!!

SOON MY LOVE...SOON...
I said I was gonna stop at 7. But heck, 8 IS a lucky number. And so, I take it all back. I am waiting, yet again, for another bag to fall into my eager hands sometime soon...
I've always been a fan of the Le Pliage, and have always taken a liking to their limited edition models, including this! The designs are actually icing on the cake for this uber flexible and functional arm candy, which is sturdy and roomy enough to carry your laptop or even an armload of Amazon books.
Nobody said I should stop at 8 right? After all, ain't 9 lucky as well? Actually, believe it or not, I am also lucky with the number 13. But I guess that's just pushing it. Hehehe!

WE DID IT LORENZO'S WAY...
A long overdue post.
Running a business alongside a 9-to-5 job can be very tricky. And I am extremely lucky that I have a dedicated business partner who oversees operations while I strut it out in the workplace. To get things going (even via remote for me), we see to it that we meet once a week to go over paperwork--quotations, purchase orders, payroll, checks, even our delivery vans' cheap auto insurance contracts that need updating.
These weekly meetings have been our excuse to try out (aka pig out at) new restaurants too. And on one particular weekday in December (me forgets exactly when!!!), we ate at Lorenzo's Way.
Named after the late Lorenzo "Larry" J. Cruz, LJC Group's newest baby brings together all the best-selling dishes of various LJC restaurants. Since we were busy with shop talk, M and I stuck to the basics, which, like all signature LJC dishes, NEVER disappoint...
Baked Cheesy Spinach and Banana Blossom Dip Dilis-cious Rice
Knockout Knuckles
Gising-Gising Banana Chocolate Volcano
These tried-and-tested dishes, to my mind, are reasonably priced, and are complemented with the LJC kitchens' formula of good, reliable food, tasteful ambience, and warm service. I am looking forward to spending more business AND family meals here. Namit!!!

HOW TO EAT BUFFALO WINGS
I usually take mine with loads and loads of blue cheese. How about you? At dinner time today though, The Stock Market over at Bonifacio High Street showed me their interesting take on Buffalo Wings. They served it to me inside a bun...The Stock Market is a one-stop shop for quality stock items like fresh fruit, sausages, cold cuts, cheeses, fine wines, spices, cookware, and Del Monte products (it's owned by Del Monte Corporation, by the way.). The place is great for families and friends to get together, with cuisine is easy to like and pleasing to our local palate. I am also very particular about restrooms and theirs (loaded with Delta faucets, passed my test with flying colors
You'd be interested to note that FIC's The Ice Cream Bar is nestled inside The Stock Market so you can be assured of great confections to cap your hearty meal--which we did, as always.
I am so sorry I wasn't able to take any more photos of our meal because I was too busy eating my buffalo sandwich with my bare hands. Hehehe! I promise to do a more in-depth write-up on The Stock Market next time.
My outlook on THIS Stock Market? Bullish!!!

A BITE OF THAT APPLE
After completing a two-week workshop to learn more about MAC (the computer and not the make-up--Hehehe!), I am totally convinced that the coveted Apple gadget is THE one for me.
Honestly, even if I work for a telco, I am not as tech savvy as other people expect me to be. So long as my computer/laptop has the requisite MS Office programs (or its counterparts), Photoshop, a media player and iTunes, then I am content. I've been fortunate enough too, to have been gifted with laptops in my lifetime, without me having to go through the process of shopping around and comparing specs.

BRAND LOYALTY
Special thanks go out to my friend A for changing my view on things. I used to think that my tendency to stick to a particular style/brand (i.e. buying different colors of shirt, bag or shoe) was a sign of my being boring or unadventurous.
A had a different view. My preference for a particular style or brand, he says, can actually be equated with loyalty. And it is because of this excuse este loyalty that I have amassed a special collection in just a little over a year. Hehehe...
So there you go folks. There is no special formula nor regimen for maintaing a stress-free life. No special diets nor acne treatment creams to speak of. Just brand loyalty :)Posted by Maver on 1/20/2010 1 Shoutouts

BE PREPAIR-ed
As an advanced Valentine's gift (yes, it is THAT time of the year again), I am planning on getting the Haligi this...
Meet PREPAIR, the newest top-of-the-line clog of Crocs featuring a fast and sport-inspired design.
It has been designed to reduce peak pressure and lower muscular exertions for improved blood flow and fatigue relief. PREPAIR's Croslite Ag™ footbed infused with nano silver also creates an environment that helps prevent fungal and microbial growth, eliminating the need to worry about athlete's foot and eczema treatments.
The Crocs™ Prepair™ Clog is available in the following colors:
* Black / SilverI am leaning towards the black and silver combo as it will go well with the Haligi's running shoes.
* Sea Blue / Silver
* Navy / Silver
* Red / Black
* Cotton Candy / Silver
Are you PREPAIRed too?

ON DECLUTTERING
For the first quarter of 2010, I promised myself to work on Project Living Room. Aside from purchasing a few more pieces of furniture for our home's receiving area, I am also hoping to address the perennial problem of our living room--clutter aka KALAAAAT!!!
At the moment, we are making do with big plastic containers to hold our son's toys. But after surfing through my favorite local furniture site, Leoque, I am considering this as a worthy storage alternative:
This storage accent is super functional as it can store items ranging from magazines, books, clothes and linens, and of course, toys. Made from abaca rope and abaca fiber, the basket is collapsible for easy storage when not in use. And because of its contemporary, tropical look, I am positive it will go well with our newly purchased bamboo roller blinds. Best of all, the baskets only cost P335.00!
Clutter problem solved--stylishly at that!

PICK-UP LINES
Anytime soon, we will be getting our hands on this...
The FIL was kind enough to "delegate" use of this vehicle to us which is why we are selling our old van. Actually, we were the original users of this white beauty but decided to give it up in exchange for a roomier vehicle for our then toddler. But since the little boy is now a little binata, FIL thought that the pick-up, complete with its accessories, updated insurance and 24 hour towing benefit, would best suit our needs this time.
Why do we love it? Well, it aint the No. 1 SUV in America for over a decade for nothing. The Sport Trac is an innovative design packed with small refinements that make life more convenient, both in town and in the backcountry. Its willing engine, solid frame, and well-engineered body, make Explorer Sport Trac an impressive sport-utility truck.
Harabas ever, here we come!!!

SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME
On the 8th day of 2010, I have already broken one of my new year's resolutions. Yes, just like an addict recuperating from drug rehab, I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms and extremely low EQ. And it was all because of this...
The Kenneth Cole Shape of Things slip-on is sure to complement any wardrobe. --perfect for the office, school or to wear with denim. Made with patent leather, it comes with a hexagonal vamp ornament, and is built with a leather upper, lining and sole.
It looks a lot like the Stella Luna flats that I have been drooling over for the longest time at just a fraction of the price. Imagine, from an SRP of P6,950.00, its price was slashed down to P2,432.50. That's equivalent to 65% off!!!
Catch the End of the Season Sale at any Kenneth Cole outlet.

SHOPPING RESOLUTION
After I purchased my last bag for 2009 (now let's not get into details as to how many I actually bought), I promised myself that unless really necessary, I would abstain from all forms of shopping during the first quarter of 2010.
But after stumbling upon this at Chuvaness, it looks like I am on the way to my first broken new year resolution...
Well maybe, if I make a faux
Shhh, that's gonna be our secret okay?
