BONGGANG BACON

The Oishi line of snacks never ceases to amaze me. The same makers of my favorite finger-lickinn' Marty's Chicharon, the crunchy and zesty Bread Pan, the fun and rich snacked called Pillows, and the aquatic weed control-defying seaweed flavored Potato Chips, recently launched another winner by my book--Baconette Strips!!! For as low as P16.75, you get the same heavenly smoked bacon vibe without consuming the same amount of calories. It's almost, but not quite bacon. FTW!

WOW CUAPAO!

Probably not content with my maintenance medication for hypertension, my visit to Greenhills today would probably require me to go on apidexin as well. But can you blame me if I get hooked on these delectable treats from Choc Full of Nuts? Oooh Cuapao, why do I love thee? Let me count the ways--sweet, tender pork morsels, garnished with pickled mustard and wansuy and topped with chopped nuts. It is a taste of heaven in every bite!

THE PERFECT TEN

I went on a self-imposed Longchamp purse ban after accumulating nine, yes, NINE Le Pliages in less than a year. I usually fancied the limited editions--going for the one-tone bag in Narcisse shopper, the LM Nylon in black, the Badges edition in beige, and even the not-so-limited-LE Eiffel Tower in Paper on top of my classics.
I tell you, I really felt I was manifesting withdrawal symptoms and "Le Pliage diet pill side effects" because of my Longchamp drought! But I once I stumbled upon another LE, I finally decided to lift my Le Pliage ban. I also promised myself that this will be my last Longchamp purchase for the year. (Insert crossed fingers here). Hehehe!

To celebrate Longchamp's 10th anniversary back in 2005, the famous bag line collaborated with English art phenomenon, Tracey Emin, to come with a line inspired by vintage screenprints. This year, Longchamp decided to reproduce the '05 line for a limited time only.

TAYO'Y MAG OCHO-OCHO

Tacloban's Ocho Restaurant has always earned raves amongst the members of our mobile money project team. And because of this, we just had to take our lunch there during yesterday's trip. And what can I say? The meal was superb...and guilt-free!!! Looks like going over those diet pill comparisons would have to wait.

Our foreign guests thought so too! Although between you and me, tinitingnan ko palang ang mga papa-licious na afam, busog na ako. Mwahaha! Let these pictures do the talking.I am so looking forward to my next Tacloban trip.

DI KO MATANTO

Oh ok, call me a party pooper. Blame it on my extremely basic a.k.a. non-adventurous personal fashion sense, or probably, lack thereof. Or perhaps I am feeling just a wee bitter because my body still seems to be on prenatal vitamins and cannot squeeze into these things. But honestly, I cannot figure out how anybody can pull off Sanuk tube flops in Pinas.Tropical weather, hello!?!?!

HAIL TO THE CHIEF

So the yellow ribbons have been put away after election day. My son, however, has found a new way to express his support for HIS president. And it only cost us thirty bucks...

THE LOOK FOR LESS #5

This summer, my Sanuks are lonely no more. I have found a perfect complement to my two other pairs of canvas candies. And the newest addition to my shoe collection comes in quite a dangerous color--white!!!

I initially set my sights on a white pair of what has dubbed as the "Shoes of Tomorrow--Toms. Made of canvas material with leather insoles and rubber outsoles, they seemed perfect for weekends, especially this summer.
However, for practicality's sake, I settled for a cheaper, and IMHO, a most worthy alternative to TOMS--espadrilles.

This white canvass pair, which my fit snugly over my pudgy-adipex p-thirsty feet from Sueños Espadrilles Manila cost me only P650.00. And since they were dirt cheap, I am thinking of scoring another pair.
Uh-oh, I just might be shelling out even more than the cost of a Toms pair. Help me God.

GASP!!!

Rumor has it that Balenciaga's Giant Gold Hardware will soon be replaced with Rose Gold Hardware. This is mainly because the latter is a lot cheaper to make than yellow gold. We've seen quite a number of production adjustments in the BBags we have come to love--no more metal feet, no more mirror back pockets, no more extra tassles. So this shouldn't come as a surprise.

But I have actually come to love Rose Gold Hardware especially if it will come with this color...

BAG LOVE

The Haligi finally took notice of my growing bag collection. This comes as no surprise because I guess, my alibi that my bffs and I trade bags from time to time has lost steam.

Anyhoo, since there was no way I could ask him to foot the bill for this "package" in transit (wink! wink!), I was willing to settle for a practical alternative for Mother's Day. So I asked him to get me these...

The Haligi was more than willing to get me these Loving My Bags products to help me cleanse, protect, moisturize and condition my arm candies. I guess he is employing this strategy in the hope that taking good care of my bag stash would prevent me from getting new ones. And if I had stumbled upon those noxycut review much earlier, I would've asked him to get me some too. Hahaha!

Well, what do you know. Now I've got TWO packages in transit :D

BLOGGING MOM MEET-UP ANYONE?

Hey fellow moms, what's cooking this weekend? See you at the Power Plant on "our" day? :)

ONE STOP SHOP

Whenever I am on the lookout for a quick gift fix, my default shopping place is The Landmark (well, it's a toss between that and SM actually), mainly because I can find some of the most interesting gifts at just the fraction of the cost of those sold at other department stores--from quirky figurines, to garments, to footwear, to sports equipment like treadmills and ellipticals, to bags, cosmetics and of course, food.

Duing my recent anniversary gift hunt for my ils (it can be quite a stretch to get presents for people who have everything, you know!), The Landmark did not disappoint. I got them these quirky coinbanks...
Not to be outdone, I also had to get myself and my boys something (shopaholic alert!). And so I ended up getting these breakfast mugs for our family of three...
Total peso damage was below P1,000.00!

THE LOOK FOR LESS (L4L) #4

While searching for the best possible offers in car insurance online, I stumbled upon an interesting lot of multi-zippered bags. They look and "feel" the same, but lo and behold, they are from different bag makers.

You be the judge. Would you agree with me that these two bags were separated at birth?

DEAR DARLA

I don't think appetite suppressants like phentermine would ever work on me with the greatest pizza invention from Yellow Cab in the picture.

Oh Dear Darla, why do I love thee? Well, simply because loving thee can be done just by:

1. Sprinkling it...
2. Drizzling it...
3. Rolling it...4. And finally, eating it...
Special thanks to A for being my model. :)

Available in all Yellow Cab outlets.

FIT IN FOURTEEN DAYS

Guaranteed weight loss and well-being--so goes the promise of the Nestle Fitnesse 14-day challenge launched last year which promised a wardrobe giveaway to contest winners.

I've decided to embark on the same challenge even sans a wardrobe carrot, in the interest of health improvement and lifestyle modification sans any aid from the best weight loss supplement. So, beginning today, I shall replace two of my meals with this...
In the Nestle Fitnesse 14-day meal plan, one simply needs to replace breakfast and one of the main meals — either lunch or dinner — with Nestle Fitnesse for two weeks. The introduction of more whole grains is intended to reduce the fat and saturated fat content in one's diet, to lead to a healthier and hopefully, lighter body.

Now who's with me?
